The soursop we sell is organically grown however the farms do not hold organic certification.
Soursop, also known as graviola, guanabana, and guyabano is a delicious fruit in high demand because of the health benefits it's believed to have.
The flavour of the soursop fruit has been described as a combination of strawberry and pineapple, with citrus flavour notes contrasting with an underlying creamy texture reminiscent of coconut and banana! We choose to source soursop from the Caribbean islands of St Lucia, Grenada and Jamaica or Vietnam as all these countries produce high quality soursop with a delicious sweeter flavour and a smaller amount of fibre compared to fruits of other origin.
Soursop must be kept at room temperature or warmer to ripen. Please ensure you read the important storage instructions below
Ordering
Our fresh shipment of soursop arrives in the UK every Tuesday or Wednesday.
We only buy to order. We do not buy excess stock to avoid wastage.
Origin
Grenada, St Lucia, Jamaica or Vietnam.
Storage
The fresh soursop fruit must be kept at room temperature or warmer to ripen. Depending on the temperature, it will usually take 1-4 days to become soft all over, at which point it is fully ripe.
Once fully ripe, the fruit must be refrigerated to stop it spoiling. It will keep in the refrigerator for around 5-7 days. To increase the life of the fruit, separate the edible white flesh from the skin/seeds and refrigerate only the flesh in a sealed plastic container.
You may also freeze the flesh for future use.
Order weight
We will select fruits as close as possible to the weight you have ordered. We always aim to be accurate to +/-5%.
